Morning Coffee
Pairing(s): onesided Ernest Gibbs/Julianne Brown
Genre: General, some love-struck ramblings
Universe: Fatherland
"Julianne always gets her morning cup of coffee at 7:40. That's exactly the time Mr. Gibbs would pass and give her a nod, or hold a small talk for a minute before going to his office."

They always meet by the coffee machine. Julianne makes sure they do, since Ernest brings his own coffee, token of thanks to his new bot Bean. (Everyone's heard of it; it was supposedly a prototype for the company's newest market hog, because everyone needs a little kitchen helper. Bean is an AI, though, so the final design was to leave that part out.)
Julie totally finds it cute. Stifling her grin, she looks around, satisfied with the empty corner; most left to start on their work, those workaholics, but then again, she would've been with them if she's not waiting for the hottest man of the time being.
Really, her old friends would've been surprised. Those poor girls thought she'd be hitting for younger, athletic men. They would never compare, though-- Mr. Gibbs is a genius and that's what attracted her.
Tapping in her ID, she waits for the coffee to start pouring. Does her clothes look okay? She's wearing her usual uniform; white blouse, rose jackets and skirt. Hopefully her stockings look good with her getup. Her heels are killers but she's been wearing them forever, like when she's 16, so that's 13 years of experience on her belt.
Still, who knows what's his preferences are.
She wonders if he's single. Then again, there are rumours of an Abigail that called him very often. If she's truly his girlfriend, that would be disappointing. He has this sort of charisma; like he knows more, more than most people, and it intrigues her. It's like he's immortal.
She quickly rechecks her memory-- nope, he's only 40. Really, she wonders if he maintains that image in the bedroom! She'd totally swoon and announce it to the world.
"--Ms. Brown?" Julie snaps out of her thoughts, realising that her coffee would've overflown if Mr. Gibbs hasn't stopped it. Such a gentleman. She straightens her back, brushing off her skirt as she raises her cup to her lips.
"Thank you." He chuckles, and a voice in her head giggles like a high school girl. He looks casual compared to others, with his button-up covered by a neat sweater. This man will be the death of her.
"It's no problem. Next time be careful, though. I'll, ah, see you later." And as he walks away, Julie resists the urge to pull out her phone and squeal. Now to get to his office--
